WHO WE ARE?
TGL , one of the world foremost cargo forwarding & logistics companies under the licenses of NVOCC, IATA & FIATA, was founded in July, 1997 by Mr. David Chan, a well-known estate agent, Mr. J.S. Wen, a renowned banker, as well as Mr. Arthur Chen, a celebrated cargo forwarding specialist with 15 years experience in the field.
TGL's capital was around US$600,000 at the very beginning. Primary local staffs numbered 15. All with more than ten years working experience in cargo forwarding business. Although not senior enough comparing to those established long time ago, our competitive rates as well as the excellent services provided by our most efficient and reliable staffs had already made TGL the trusted name in the realm of cargo forwarding & logistics and had also won us delightful appraisals from our various reputable customers.
WHAT WE HAVE REACHED?
1997-1999-
Focused wholehearted on air and ocean forwarding business on both the export and import markets in Taiwan . Within not long a time, TGL's total volume of air cargo and ocean freight had already reached around 4500 tons and 1500 teus per year respectively, which made the although still junior but enthrallingly and appallingly vigorous TGL already being one of the top 40 freight forwarding enterprises in Taiwan. A brand-new page thus has gradually unfolded for TGL in the market untapped before¡ª CHINA .
A great leap forward, no doubt!
1999- 2001-
In response to the demanding needs caused by the mushroom expansion of Taiwanese industries and factories in China and the associated booming of China's import/export business, TGL began to establish a branch office in Shanghai in March, 1999, and three more at Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Tianjin the following year. Chinese markets have thus gradually gained momentum in TGL's market-oriented strategy.
2001- 2002-
TGL, with its superb international business network and excellent relationships with concerned carriers and both bonded and unbonded warehouses, has, from the past years up to now, aggressively engaged itself in the ¡°Logistics¡± business, which, along with the speedy growth and expansion of Chinese markets, has become desperately in need in China.
In order to facilitate coordination among the various offices on both sides of the strait and to better avail the manpower and facilities therein, TGL has assigned each office with specific assignment:
a) The head office in Taipei : Responsible for finance, communication & coordination work, as well as selling.
b) China southern gateway office in Shenzhen: Responsible for the import/export business of concerned ports, e.g., Shenzhen, Santou, Guangzhou , Zouhai. Also, responsible for the Hong Kong branch's business.
c) China eastern gateway office in Shanghai : Responsible for business between concerned eastern provinces and related ports ( Shanghai , Ningbo , Fuzhou , Xiamen ).
d) China northern gateway office in Tianjin : Responsible for the import/export business of concerned northern ports (e.g. Tianjin , Beijing , Qiandao, Dailan).
2002 -
Coping with the flourishing economic opportunities and vigorously growing markets
ensued with the entrance of both China and Taiwan into WTO, TGL will establish four more branch offices at Beijing, Nanjing, Xiamen respectively, and will keep endeavoring in the enhancing of both facilities and manpower, with a view to provide even better services to our customers here and across the strait.
